I love London

 I love London

Especially North London Grammar School

1. CITY IS BIG

It can take years to explore this city and you will never stop being surprised. From Camden to Kensington and everywhere in between - every district of London is like a different character, but you can feel the unique energy of London in all of them.

2. THE WHOLE WORLD IS HERE

London is as cosmopolitan as it is British because people from all over the world find themselves here. That's why the options in London are exciting and endless. Want to watch a movie in a French cinema? No problem! How about lunch in a Scandinavian bakery? What if you want to have dinner at an authoritative Mongolian restaurant? The choice is yours! London's multicultural makeup is not only reflected in food - this cultural wealth has fueled creativity, leading London to become a world leader in many industries.

3. CELEBRATING CREATIVITY

London has been attracting those with a creative spirit for centuries. Take William Shakespeare, Jimi Hendrix and J.K. Until Rowling, the brightest people in the art community were inspired by London. The best musicians, artists, actors, comedians and writers from all over the world still find themselves in London. Countless fiction works and stories that have been and are being written, such as Harry Potter, Sherlock Holmes, and Mary Poppins, take place in the streets of London.

4. MUSIC ANYWHERE

London has its own rhythm. From Ed Sheeran to The Beatles to the Rolling Stones, London has produced many musicians who shaped the perception of music in the world. Superstars you can watch at the O2 Arena, Indie Rock bands you can watch at the historic Brixton Academy, bands on the way to become famous in Camden's bars - in short, London offers you a music event you can watch every night of the week. It is a privilege to spend the summer in London; British Summer Time Festival in Hyde Park and Wireless festival in Finsbury Park are just two of the biggest festivals in the city.

5. A LEGENDARY NIGHT LIFE

Every night you spend in London is unique. Would you like to watch musicals in the enchanting West End or watch Hollywood's biggest names in their huge movie theaters on Leicester Square? We recommend you to go to east London for the coolest bars and restaurants, and to Soho or Shoreditch to get to know the city's legendary nightclubs and concerts of music bands yet to be discovered.

6. FOOD WILL TAKE YOUR MIND

It is true that British cuisine has been ridiculed a lot, but you'll be surprised (in a good way!) When you see the options London has to offer you. Stylish restaurants, delicious street food (find our list here) and experimental dishes that you can find in places with interesting décor add to London's ever-evolving food scene. Of course, this does not mean that you cannot taste traditional flavors. If you want a typical English breakfast or a traditional Sunday roast - which may not be a good choice for calorie counters - you can go to a classic café or gastro pub to taste original British cuisine.

7. YOU WILL LOVE SPORTS EVENTS

London is not only home to some of the most famous football clubs. In addition to the national football matches, NFL matches also cause the tickets of the 90,000-seat Wembley Stadium to run out. The legacy left by the 2012 Olympics to London has a huge share. You can grab your towel and swim in the pool where Michael Phelps swam in Stratford, or, if you find that courage, you can jump off the springboards that Tom Daley jumped. Brits are serious sports fans! It cannot be a British activity in Wimbledon like watching a tennis game or trying to understand Cricket.

8. THE ROYAL FAMILY LIVES HERE

You may have heard about the British Royal family - they are of great importance in England and you can see them often in the city. Visit Buckingham Palace by walking down a tree-lined street called The Mall. Here, you can closely monitor all royal traditions and witness Buckingham Palace's iconic guard exchange ceremony.

9.NOT EXPENSIVE AS YOU THINK

You don't have to rob a bank to live in London! You just need to know the right places and keep in mind the tips we've given you. You should start exploring this city from the numerous free museums, which is a great activity especially for rainy days. While The National Portrait Gallery and Tate Britain are known for their classical art collections, Tate Modern is the world leader in modern art. How would you like to travel to the past at the British Museum and National History Museum without spending a penny? When the weather is sunny, it's a great way to get to know this metropolis by wandering the streets and visiting the markets that sell every product you can think of (or not). In the evenings, it is up to you to choose between free concerts or stand-up comedy events in various parts of the city.

10. PARKS ARE VERY PLEASANT

Although London is a vibrant business....
